Dan and Frank Carney launched Pizza Hut in Wichita, Kansas in 1958 as a transnational restaurant company and international franchise. They provide their signature pan pizza, as well as pasta, breadsticks, and desserts. As of 2020, the brand has 17,639 locations worldwide, giving it the world’s largest pizza chain in terms of number of locations. Two brothers borrowed $600 from their mother to start a pizza parlor in Wichita, Kansas, in 1958. Because their sign barely had enough for eight letters, they titled it Pizza Hut. Because of the superb food and excellent service, the restaurant’s popularity expanded swiftly. Today, there are over 16,000 Pizza Hut locations that are owned and operated by independent franchisees. In over 100 countries, our 100+ franchise partners employ 350,000 people. Pizza Hut and our franchise partners are anything but cookie-cutter. It’s not the pizza, and it’s certainly not the people. A career with Pizza Hut or one of our local independently owned franchisees is for individuals who stand out; we’re always pushing the envelope and encouraging each other to be the best we can be. You’re ready for a career with the Pizza Hut Brand if you’re willing to live life outside of the box.
