The Nestlé CERELAC Fortified Baby Cereal with Milk, Wheat Apple is a complementary baby food for infants from 6 months onwards. It is a source of 19 important nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, and provides 75% of a baby’s daily need of iron in 2 serves. It is free from added colours, flavours, and preservatives. This Vegetarian product contains wheat flour, milk solids, apple juice concentrate, sugar, soyabean oil, minerals, vitamins, dextrose, acidity regulator (Potassium hydrogencarbonate), enzyme (Alpha amylase), and packaging gases (Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide).

The preparation of the baby food should be done carefully and hygienically, and all utensils must be thoroughly cleaned before use. The instructions mention boiling clean drinking water for 5 minutes, allowing it to cool until lukewarm, measuring the quantity of water as mentioned in the table-1, and pouring it into the baby’s bowl. The number of scoops of CERELAC must be added as mentioned in the table 1, stirred until the cereal is smooth, and fed immediately using a clean spoon.

After opening the pack, the contents should immediately be transferred to an empty, clean, dry, and airtight container. The lid should be replaced tightly after every use and stored in a cool, dry, and hygienic place. The enclosed scoop should be thoroughly washed and dried before use. The product should be used within 3 weeks after opening or before the expiry date, whichever is earlier.

The product is backed by evolving science and research, and innovation has been at the heart of Nestlé since its beginning. It is important to note that infant food shall be introduced only after the age of 6 months up to the age of two years, and only on the advice of a health worker as to the need for its use and the proper method of its use. Infant food is not the sole source of nourishment for an infant, and prepared feed should be used within half an hour, otherwise microbial deterioration may set in. The product also comes with an important notice that mother’s milk is best for your baby.
